Details: Celebrating its 24th year, the annual Angel Art, ART = LOVE event is Los Angeles’ preeminent annual contemporary art auction that has raised more than $11 million for Project Angel Food, which continues to provide meals for thousands of men, women and children facing life threatening illnesses. Over the years, many prominent artists have contributed works to the auction and have donated the proceeds to benefit Project Angel Food’s free meal delivery program. In previous years, auction attendees have included Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Tom Ford, Jane Lynch, Adriene Brody, Brenden Fraser, Naomi Watts and Eric McCormack, among others.

This UTA partnership is the perfect intersection of entertainment, philanthropy and the arts. Not only is UTA providing their beautiful Beverly Hills Artist Space, but they are also underwriting a significant portion of the event. The agency is truly committed to making this one of the most successful Angel Art, ART = LOVE benefits ever.

Since the inception of the UTA Foundation over 15 years ago, our employees have volunteered nearly 4,000 hours preparing healthy and nutritious meals in Project Angel Food’s kitchen. We’re very aligned with the organization’s mission of helping the most vulnerable in our community and thrilled to build on our relationship.

UTA Artist Space is an extension of the agency’s commitment to the Los Angeles arts scene as much as it is a venue for showcasing global talent and new work. The venue continues UTA’s history of helping artists gain access to new and better opportunities; it solidifies UTA’s reputation as a forward-thinking agency devoted to expanding and redefining the role of talent and literary agencies globally.

This year, the 2019 Angel Art, ART=LOVE Advisory Council includes participation from across the agency from its Board of Directors and across its partnership. Additionally, Beth Rudin DeWoody and Firooz Zahedi will Chair the event and Kimberly Light and Tim Robinson will serve as Co-Chairs.

The UTA Foundation is committed to engaging employees and clients in effective and rewarding philanthropic opportunities. The foundation works closely with employees through volunteer activities, investing in local communities, and partnerships with organizations around the world. The UTA Foundation also works with clients across UTA’s roster to amplify their social-impact work, develop sustainable partnerships and provide strategic guidance on engagement opportunities.

Since 1989, Project Angel Food has prepared and delivered more than 11.5 million meals — currently 12,000 per week — free of charge to men, women and children living with critical illnesses. Project Angel Food expanded its initial mission from serving people living with HIV/AIDS to include medically tailored meals, prepared by the staff and volunteers, for those combatting cancer, kidney failure, diabetes, congestive heart disease and other illnesses. The mission has always remained intact, to feed and nourish the sick, by delivering healthy, nutritious meals throughout 4,400 square miles of LA County. Approximately 97% of Project Angel Food clients are living at or below the poverty level, and Project Angel Food is their lifeline, filling a vital need in all communities.

The private event will be held May 9, 2019 at the UTA Artist Space, 403 Foothill Road, Beverly Hills from 7:00pm-10:00pm, with online bidding available beginning in April. If interested in attending, tickets are available for purchase here:  www.angelfood.org/angelart.
