I am living for the new single by Laganja Estranja called “Look At Me”, special feature from J. Tyler, which is first off an amazing hip-hop video that really tackles some big social issues like racial profiling, white privilege, prison reform, aggressive police tactics and targeting of Cannabis users.

The video shows the differences in Laganja’s white privilege as a Cannabis user while her Latino boyfriend is unfairly targeted by police and arrested for possession of a joint and locked away, an all too common occurrence in America.

I feel more queens today are really taking to their platforms to point out social injustice and trying to help raise awareness for issues that too many times are overlooked. I love the overall video but admire the work she put into it to really show these issues in our society.
