I am living for Ada Vox, a drag queen from San Antonio, Tex., in the new season of “American Idol.”

Adam Sanders originally came on “Idol” in Season 12 and only made it through the top 50. He then met some social media bullying about his weight and sexuality, and he realized he was not ready to follow his dream.

Nothing could be further from the truth now that Ada has soared through the competition, amazing the judges week after week with her amazing charisma and talent. All three judges said this week that they felt that Ada was finally embodying her most authentic self as she sang her rendition of “The Circle of Life” from “The Lion King “in a Disney-themed song week.

I am amazed at how the drag community has been breaking barriers television and putting a positive and professional foot forward to show the world that they are not just men in a wig and heels. They are talented and fierce and watch out because I feel that Ada will be the first drag queen to be crowed the next American Idol.
