Hank Scott has decades of experience in media, communications and marketing, helping clients create and deliver demographically and geographically targeted products and services.

Hank currently is president of WHMC, a company that publishes GayLifeLA.com and also WEHOville.com, the leading hyperlocal digital news site covering West Hollywood. WHMC also publishes West Hollywood Magazine, a quarterly print publication that is the only such publication focused exclusively on West Hollywood.

Scott has been at the forefront of innovation in news media. In 2003 he helped Metro International S.A., the London-based originator of the free daily newspaper concept, launch its youth-oriented New York City edition. Scott served as managing director for Metro New York for two years and also oversaw elements of its Boston and Philadelphia properties. Metro New York is and was the most highly circulated daily newspaper in Manhattan. Earlier he served as president of Out Publishing, successfully turning around the financially troubled publisher of the country’s largest-circulation quality gay magazine. Scott was engaged in 2010 as part of a team of four to turn around CL Media, publisher of alternative weekly newspapers in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Tampa and Washington, DC. He also served as publisher of Atlanta’s Creative Loafing weekly newspaper.

In 1994, as Vice President, New Media / New Product Development, Scott launched The New York Times Company’s first online venture with @Times, a site on America Online. Scott also developed and managed The Times’s first foreign-language edition, The News in Review, published in Russian from Moscow. Scott oversaw development of a Spanish-language newspaper insert for New York City-area newspapers. He was the member of The Times Company’s senior management charged with developing an electronic media strategy for the company. Scott’s experience at The Times also included serving as Managing Director of Marketing Planning and Research, where he played a major role in developing distribution and advertising strategies for The Times.

Scott’s Gansevoort Media (and later interMediator group) consulting firms have worked with media clients as diverse as BusinessWeek, El Mio Vino, the Dallas Morning News and the Wall Street Journal to craft and implement strategies to identify and more efficiently target audiences and increase revenue. His particular focus has been turning around financially troubled media properties.

Doug Stichler

Doug Stichler is a California native who found his way into West Hollywood at the ripe old age of 16. After graduation from school he became an entrepreneur, opening one of the very first tanning salons in Southern California. Stichler then opened a John Robert Powers acting studio before heading to New York City. There he became the head booker of Ikon Models. Stichler was hired to open and operate several for-profit colleges across the country. In 2011 Stichler moved back to WeHo.

In his various positions, Doug has developed solid skills in advertising and marketing. He is known for his ability to engage with clients and understand their needs and then develop advertising and marketing solutions that help them meet those needs and accomplish their goals.

Doug lives in West Hollywood where he enjoys life with his fiancée, Enoch Miller (widely known as the “Empress of WeHo”), and their little pitty, Drake. Through his work with WHMC, Stichler helps the local community and its businesses  thrive.

Owen comes to WHMC from his former position as president and founder of Off World Enterprise, a marketing and communications firm. Off World Enterprise has worked with several businesses, non-profit organizations and political campaigns, providing web design, campaign strategy, fundraising and targeted advertising.

Owen Ward

Prior to founding Off World Enterprise, Owen oversaw creative marketing and media as vice president, theatrical marketing for Lionsgate. Ward’s award-winning work on trailers and television campaigns brought nationwide audiences to films such as “Precious” and “The Expendables” and the SAW and Tyler Perry franchises.

Owen has been engaged in civic life on several levels. He has served as vice chair, governmental affairs, on the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and on the board of Christopher Street West, the non-profit that stages the annual L.A. Pride. Ward also was co-president of SoCal Cycle Share, a company that advocated for bike sharing programs in West Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles region. Ward received a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California.

Jackie Laberge

Jackie, the former membership sales manager of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, has a lengthy and varied experience in advertising.

Among other positions, Jackie has served as co-executive producer for Fourpoints Television Productions, a role in which she worked with advertisers to integrate their brands into the content of television programs. LaBerge also was a broadcast account manager for Corus Entertainment, one of Canada’s leading niche-focused television brands and for Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting. She was outdoor account manager form Mediacom Outdoor Advertising in her native Canada.

Jackie also has been an entrepreneur. In 2010 she launched Loot Bags for Life, a website that allowed people to support animal charities through purchasing tote bags and t-shirts
